+This fantastic Antique Victorian Scottish brooch has been modelled in Silver to form the shape of a shield with an arrow behind it. The silver work features intricate engravings and the brooch has been set with an array of beautiful Montrose Agate pieces.
Each Agate is unique and boasts various earthy colours and patterned layers which are naturally formed, earning it the appropriate nickname ‘The Earth Rainbow’.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid-1800s.
A fabulous brooch which will look great when worn and a piece of history to be treasured. It comes in incredible condition due to have being part of a collection and complete with a Scottish kite hallmark.
